Do you remember being a kid and you would be in science class, learning about dinosaurs, and your teacher would say, ‘Class today we are making plaster of paris fossils!’ to which the whole class would get extremely excited. Dinosaurs really excited me as a kid (just like any other young guy) and I had books of puzzles full of dinosaur information, so being able to make my own plaster of paris fossils - my own dinosaur bones - I was so excited!
But as you grow older, you realise that imitations, while good for a season - are never as good as the real deal!
Plaster Of Paris Fossils Or Real Fossils?
Now I know real fossils are extremely expensive, thousands of dollars infact. but it is the same with anything precious. Anyone can own a fake pearl necklace, just like anyone can own plaster of paris fossils, but real pearls cost real money - but worth so much more.
